How it works

TradeSafe’s escrow protects buyers and sellers by holding the buyer’s funds in an escrow holding account until the seller delivers the goods or fulfils their obligations. Buyers get what they paid for, and sellers are guaranteed payment.

You and the seller agree on the terms of the deal

You deposit the funds with TradeSafe

Once you’ve deposited the money in full with TradeSafe, we’ll issue the seller a signed letter of comfort.

Seller delivers goods or services to you

At this stage, TradeSafe will ask you whether you are happy with the goods and services received.

Step 4

Tradesafe instantly releases payment

Once you accept the goods or services, TradeSafe releases the funds to the seller instantly using Standard Bank’s Host-to-Host technology.
